70 per cent or a complete of fifty out of 71 Siemens Gamesa 7 MW wind generators have been put in on the Fécamp offshore wind farm website in Normandy, France.
The wind turbine set up work is being carried out by DEME Offshore’s jack-up vessel Innovation which is at the moment positioned on the offshore website, in accordance with AIS knowledge.
The primary Siemens Gamesa 7 MW unit was put in on the development website some 13-24 kilometres off the coast of Normandy in July 2023.
The Fécamp offshore wind farm, with a capability of 500 MW, began producing electrical energy and feeding it into the grid upon the set up of its first turbine.
All wind generators can be positioned on gravity-based foundations which had been equipped and put in by the consortium of Boskalis, Saipem, and Bouygues Building.

When commissioned, the offshore wind farm will provide low-carbon electrical energy for the annual electrical energy consumption of 770,000 individuals, equal to 60 p.c of the inhabitants of Seine-Maritime.
The challenge is being collectively developed by Eolien Maritime France (EMF), a three way partnership between the French firm EDF Renouvelables; EIH S.à.rl, owned by Enbridge Inc. and CPP Investments; and Skyborn Renewables (previously wpd offshore).
