Welsh First Minister has been pressured to confess he does have WhatsApp on his telephone after telling the Senedd he didn’t use it in a row over Covid-era messages.
Mark Drakeford, 69, was pressured to appropriate the report final evening after telling the meeting on Tuesday that whereas some messages from his authorities could have been delated, he didn’t use the favored communications app.
In a session on Tuesday Mr Drakeford instructed MSs: ‘I do know, in my case, I’ve by no means had any deletion preparations on the telephone, as a result of I might don’t know easy methods to make it occur. I don’t use WhatsApp both.’
However he was pressured to appropriate the report in a letter to presiding officer Elin Jones after the opposition Tories supplied proof that he does have the app on his telephone.
He stated: ‘I’ve reviewed my alternate with the chief of the Welsh Conservatives throughout First Minister’s Questions (FMQs) yesterday (7 November) and I want to make clear that I’ve WhatsApp downloaded to my Senedd-issued cell phone.
