Subseapartner Inks North Sea Offshore Contract



Norwegian Diving Contractor, SubseaPartner, gained a contract for the 2024 season, work awarded by OceanInstaller for end-client Vår Energi as a part of the Balder Future Undertaking.

The primary section of labor encompasses engineering, planning, design, fabrication, and commissioning of a brand new diver launch and restoration system. The second section is surface-supplied diving operations to finalize the hook-up of the Jotun FPSO within the North Sea.

Presently stationed at Rosenberg in Stavanger, the FPSO is present process preparations for re-installation between the Balder FPU and the Ringhorne platform throughout summer season 2024. The launch and restoration system for divers can be put in contained in the FPSO, enabling diving operations
contained in the turret. The turret mooring system, integral to the Jotun FPSO hull, features a bearing system facilitating the rotation of the FPSO across the turret. In the course of the hook-up, a big staff of expert divers can be engaged in connecting and tensioning mooring strains, in addition to reducing and recovering extra mooring chains from inside the turret.
