Metropolis receives Federal funding to enhance neighborhood security


The Metropolis of Fort St. John has obtained slightly below $925,000 in funding by the Authorities of Canada’s Constructing Safer Communities Fund to reinforce neighborhood security by crime and violence prevention initiatives.

The Federal Constructing Safer Communities Fund supplies time-limited funding to assist community-based initiatives that handle crime and violence prevention, particularly targeted on youth.
