Ecowende has chosen Vestas because the turbine provider for its future offshore farm on Hollandse Kust (west) website VI, roughly 53 km off the coast of IJmuiden.
Vestas will provide 52 V236-15.0 MW wind generators for the venture and preserve them for 15 years underneath the cooperation settlement signed on Dec. 19. Set up of the wind generators is scheduled to start out within the first half of 2026.
“We’re happy to announce this settlement with Vestas for the provision and upkeep of the wind generators on Hollandse Kust West,” says Folkert Visser, Ecowende CEO and venture director at Ecowende.
