BIMCO’s Director of Contracts & Help, Stinne Taiger Ivø, has been appointed Deputy Secretary Common at BIMCO from January 1, 2024.
Ivø joined BIMCO in early 2022 to guide the Contracts & Help division. Previous to working at BIMCO, Ivø headed the claims division of marine insurer Skuld (Copenhagen), labored at Danish Transport (previously generally known as the Danish Shipowners’ Affiliation) and as a lawyer at Gorrissen Federspiel’s division for Transport/Offshore/Transportation. She holds a PhD in worldwide firm regulation and a Grasp of Legal guidelines, each from the College of Copenhagen.
As a part of the management group, Ivø will likely be representing one of many main enterprise areas at BIMCO, Contracts & Clauses, because the transport trade is dealing with a rise in new rules from the Worldwide Maritime Group (IMO) and the European Union (EU) on the highway to decarbonisation.
Søren Larsen, Deputy Secretary Common accountable for BIMCO’s contractual work, will likely be retiring in Could after 39 years of service.
