Mitsui E&S Receives Order For Methanol-Fueled Engines



Mitsui E&S has acquired an order from Tsuneishi Shipbuilding for the primary home mannequin of the Mitsui-MAN B&W 6G80ME-C10.5-LGIM-EGRTC, a methanol-fuelled engine.

The order requires 4 engines, and with it, Mitsui E&S has now acquired orders for 10 methanol-fueled engines from the yard, together with six items of the G50ME-C9.6-LGIM.

The G80 mannequin is a bigger engine (piston bore 80 cm, most steady output: 28,260kW (38,400 BHP) x 72 min-1 (6 cyl., L1 level)) than the G50ME-C9.6-LGIM.

The corporate has been enhancing its manufacturing amenities since fiscal 2022 to help the conversion of giant marine engines to twin gas and is constructing a company to offer a secure provide of twin gas engines.
