NBOSI To Present CT Sensors For Offshore Sensing’s

Offshore Sensing AS has chosen conductivity-temperature (CT) sensors from Neil Brown Ocean Sensors (NBOSI) to boost the capabilities of its newest SailBuoy uncrewed floor vessels (USV).

Based in 2004, NBOSI designs and provides conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) sensors to the worldwide subsea market. These sensors cater to the precise wants of autonomous underwater and floor ocean autos, serving a variety of sectors together with analysis, offshore operations, survey and protection.

Established in 2014 as a spin-off from Christian Michelsen Analysis, Offshore Sensing AS makes a speciality of growing SailBuoys for numerous ocean functions together with wave measurement and water high quality monitoring. The SailBuoy autonomously navigates the oceans, transmitting essential information at common intervals. Area-proven for prolonged durations at sea, together with the primary trans-Atlantic crossing by an unmanned floor automobile, the SailBuoy is an answer for measuring ocean parameters, monitoring oil spills, and appearing as a communication relay station for subsea instrumentation.

David Peddie, CTO at Offshore Sensing AS, stated, “NBOSI sensors allow the SailBuoy to ship correct and dependable temperature and salinity information for our prospects.”

“We’re delighted to proceed our relationship with Offshore Sensing AS and contribute to the success of their SailBuoy unmanned floor vessel. NBOSI’s dedication to creating correct, dependable sensors aligns seamlessly with the revolutionary applied sciences employed by Offshore Sensing AS,” stated Dave Fratantoni, CEO at NBOSI. “Our sensors have many years of subject software, and we’re assured of their potential to boost mission efficiency.”
