Avangrid’s Fourth Illinois Wind Farm Enters Business Operation






Avangrid’s 106 MW Henry County Midland Wind has achieved industrial operation, which the corporate says brings its whole capability in Illinois to greater than 600 MW.

“We’re proud to have achieved this milestone with Midland Wind, which is now operational and delivering energy,” says Pedro Azagra, Avangrid CEO. “Our fourth accomplished renewable vitality challenge in Illinois, Midland Wind, is an instance of our dedication to accelerating a clear vitality transition. We look ahead to persevering with our efforts in creating inexperienced vitality options whereas supporting Illinois communities.”

The challenge accommodates 25 generators and formally reached industrial operations in December. Midland Wind is positioned close to three different Avangrid renewable vitality initiatives: Windfall Heights Wind, Otter Creek Wind and Streator Cayuga Ridge South..
