Virginia-Class Submarine New Jersey (SSN 796) Completes



HII on Thursday introduced its Newport Information Shipbuilding division has accomplished preliminary sea trials for Virginia-class assault submarine New Jersey (SSN 796). New Jersey spent a number of days at sea to check the boat’s methods and parts.

Testing included submerging the submarine for the primary time and conducting high-speed maneuvers whereas on the floor and submerged. NNS groups will proceed the testing program forward of delivering the boat to the U.S. Navy.
