Aspiravi Offshore, a part of the Aspiravi Group, will purchase all of Parkwind’s shares within the Northwind offshore wind farm within the Belgian North Sea, growing its stake to 70 per cent within the 216 MW challenge.
The brand new shareholder construction between Aspiravi Offshore and Sumitomo Company follows the sale of Parkwind to Japan’s JERA Inexperienced in the summertime of 2023.
Aspiravi Offshore, which was already the primary shareholder with 40 per cent of the shares of Northwind, was capable of train its pre-emption proper over the shares held by Parkwind. Sumitomo Company determined to not assert its pre-emption proper.
Following the required regulatory approvals, Aspiravi Offshore acquires a 70 per cent stake in Northwind offshore wind farm whereas Sumitomo Company retains the remaining 30 per cent.
Along with the 216 MW challenge, Aspiravi Group can be a shareholder in Rentel and SeaMade offshore wind farms.
Northwind offshore wind farm is situated within the Belgian waters of the North Sea on the Lodewijk Financial institution, 37 kilometres from the coast, and options 72 MVOW generators.
The wind farm growth commenced in 2005 and it was in-built 2013. Operational since 2014, the challenge has produced inexperienced electrical energy for the common annual consumption of 250,000 households.
