The Division of the Inside (DOI) has authorised the nation’s seventh commercial-scale offshore wind challenge underneath President Biden, Dawn Wind.
The challenge can have a complete 924 MW capability, with its lease space positioned roughly 16.4 nautical miles south of Martha’s Winery, Mass.
In response to feedback, BOEM chosen an alternate plan that features fewer wind turbine turbines than proposed by Dawn Wind.
“BOEM and our companions stay targeted on implementing the Biden-Harris administration’s imaginative and prescient of approving 30 gigawatts of offshore wind power capability by 2030,” says Elizabeth Klein, BOEM’s director.
