Corio, Prumo Signal Offshore Improvement MOU for Brazil’s Port of Açu

Corio Era and port developer Prumo have signed an MOU to discover utilizing the Port of Açu, north of Rio de Janeiro, for deployment of Corio’s future offshore wind tasks.

Corio is aiming to develop 5 offshore wind farms in Brazil, totaling 6 GW. Proposed websites for the fixed-bottom wind farms, every roughly 1.2 GW, have been registered within the nation’s maritime areas.

“To help the deployment of offshore wind farms in Brazil, it’s vital that we now have first-class port infrastructure for wind farm set up, operation and upkeep,”  says Jonathan Cole, CEO of Corio Era.

“At Corio we all know how essential partnerships are to the profitable supply of main power infrastructure. This is the reason we’re delighted to work with regional chief Prumo to discover the longer term potential of the Port of Açu as a strategic base for a pioneering new business that might carry monumental advantages to the individuals of Brazil.”
