Shell launches HVO supply throughout German stations

Shell has launched its HVO100 diesel supply at a German service station in Hermsdorf, Thuringia, with additional areas to observe within the coming months. 

Branded as “Shell Renewable Diesel,” this product is principally produced from biogenic waste and residual supplies reminiscent of used cooking oil. Able to lowering greenhouse gasoline emissions by 90%, the gasoline is obtained by hydrogenation and isomerization of renewable uncooked supplies.

Sönke Kleymann, Shell Business Street Transport Supervisor Germany, Austria and Switzerland, explains :

With Shell Renewable Diesel, we wish to assist truck and car fleet operators specifically to decarbonize the transport sector and adjust to authorized emissions laws,

Thus, the product complies with the European normal EN15940 for paraffinic diesel gasoline with the abbreviation XTL. At the moment, the corporate affords it in Belgium, Finland, the Netherlands, Norway and Sweden. 

Within the coming months, Shell plans to launch the renewable diesel at additional stations in Germany and Austria because it already affords it by way of model and gross sales companions.
