Japan’s Cosmo to provide home Sustainable Aviation Gas to 2 airways from April

TOKYO (Reuters) – Cosmo Vitality Holdings mentioned on Monday it would begin supplying sustainable aviation gas (SAF) to Japan Airways (JAL) and All Nippon Airways (ANA) from April, marking the primary provide of domestically produced inexperienced gas.

Cosmo, Japan’s third-biggest oil refiner, plans to start out trial SAF manufacturing at its Sakai refinery in Osaka as early as this week, an organization spokesperson informed Reuters. It’s aiming for full-scale manufacturing of 30,000 kilolitres per 12 months starting in April, they added.

The refiner, in partnership with two different corporations, plans to supply SAF from used cooking oil, marking the primary large-scale manufacturing in Japan.
