US – Bipartisan invoice selling sustainable aviation gasoline heard in committee

OLYMPIA — Researchers estimate the aviation business will account for 20% of worldwide carbon dioxide emissions by 2050 if reliance on hydrocarbon jet gasoline continues. Marko Liias (D-Edmonds) is sponsoring bipartisan laws to advance the state’s manufacturing and use of sustainable aviation gasoline (SAF).

Senate Invoice 5601, which was heard within the Senate Surroundings, Vitality & Know-how Committee Wednesday, would create a grant program supporting the development of the infrastructure required to develop SAFs.
