Canadian Photo voltaic Inc. says it’s establishing a 5 GW photo voltaic cell manufacturing facility on the River Ridge Commerce Heart in Jeffersonville, Ind.
Canadian Photo voltaic is constructing a state-of-the-art photo voltaic manufacturing plant whose output will likely be roughly 20,000 modules per day. The Jeffersonville facility represents a projected funding of greater than $800 million and can create roughly 1,200 expert high-tech jobs as soon as manufacturing is totally ramped up.
The photo voltaic cells produced at this facility will likely be used on the beforehand introduced 5 GW module meeting plant in Mesquite, Texas. Manufacturing on the Jeffersonville facility is anticipated to start by the tip of 2025.
