Acteon geo-services model UTEC has been awarded a three-year contract by Siemens Gamesa Renewable Power to offer subsea steadiness of plant O&M companies to the Butendiek offshore wind farm.
Positioned roughly 32 km west of Sylt Island within the German North Sea, the challenge is owned by OWP Butendiek and contains 80 SWT-3.6-120 wind generators from Siemens Gamesa, with a rated energy of three.6 MW, leading to a complete capability of 288 MW, says Acteon.
Led by UTEC, the work might be supported by further firm manufacturers Clarus, Deepwater and Seatronics. Below the contract, Acteon will carry out annual subsea basis remotely operated underwater car inspections, array cable and basis seabed survey, in addition to corrosion safety surveys protecting the location’s turbine turbines and the offshore substation.
UTEC will carry out a multibeam echosounder seabed survey of the array cables and scour safety whereas Deepwater’s POLATRAK tools might be used for the corrosion safety survey.
“Following the success of subsea surveys and inspections for the Coastal Virginia Offshore Wind pilot challenge, Acteon is proud to be working with Siemens Gamesa once more, says Tim Eyles, Acteon vp. “This partnership will make sure that the asset proprietor experiences protected optimized inspection scheduling and extra environment friendly useful resource utilization.”
Butendiek has been operational since 2015.
