The Metropolis of Fort St. John is worked up to host the Santa Claus Parade and Tree Mild-up at Centennial Park on Saturday, December 7, 2024. Street closures shall be in place at 94 and 95 Avenues between 100 Avenue and 102 Avenue beginning at 3 pm to facilitate an unloading zone for parade floats. Moreover, from roughly 4 to 7 pm, 100 Avenue between 93 and 100 Avenues shall be closed to make sure the protection of parade spectators and pedestrians. No public automobile entry shall be permitted throughout this time. There may also be street closures north of 108 Avenue at 98 Avenue to facilitate parade marshalling.
100 Avenue between 101 Avenue and 107 Avenue is designated for accessible parking for folks with mobility challenges, seniors, or kids with sensitivities to sensory stimulation.
The parade begins at 5 pm at 108 Avenue and 100 Avenue, touring south on 100 Avenue to Centennial Park.
Submit-parade festivities will happen at Centennial Park and Competition Plaza and embody the Christmas tree light-up, complimentary scorching canines served by the Dawn Rotary Membership and supplied by Save-On-Meals, free scorching chocolate supplied by Entry Manufacturing LTD, and the possibility to satisfy Santa and Mrs. Claus.
To kick off the Santa Parade weekend, the Metropolis has partnered with CDN Controls to supply free Public Skating on the Pomeroy Sport Centre on Friday, December 6, from 4 to 7 pm.
