Avangrid says development has commenced at its 57 MW Camino Photo voltaic Venture in Kern County, Calif.
“It’s all the time thrilling to see one other essential renewable power mission break floor,” says Pedro Azagra, Avangrid CEO. “With this main milestone, we’re one step nearer to delivering clear photo voltaic power in California to associate with our six wind power services within the state. That is one more instance of our dedication to growing tasks that create jobs, assist the local people, and speed up the clear power transition.”
The location is adjoining to Avangrid’s 189 MW Manzana Wind Farm, which reached industrial operation in 2012, and is slated to incorporate 105,000 photo voltaic panels. It’s positioned on a mixture of personal land and greater than 200 acres of public lands managed by the U.S. Bureau of Land Administration.
