Centerline Logistics Acquires Tugs And Barges From JMB



Seattle-based maritime transportation supplier Centerline Logistics introduced it has acquired a fleet of liquid tank barges and tugboats from maritime asset holding firm JMB Delivery.

The deal closed on February 23, and its phrases weren’t disclosed. 

Previous to the acquisition, JMB Delivery was owned by JMB Capital Companions Lending, an funding agency that bid $115 million in 2021 to buy a portion of Bouchard Transportation’s tug and barge fleet after the New York-based marine transport firm went bankrupt. The opposite portion of the Bouchard fleet was offered to Rose Cay for $130 million.

The JMB Delivery fleet was beforehand leased and managed by Centerline, which now takes possession and operational management. With the brand new property, Centerline says its fleet offers greater than 3 million barrels of liquid tank barge capability.
