ClassNK has awarded an approval-in-principle (AiP) for the design of a multi-functional floating offshore windfarm assist vessel (MFSV).
The vessel was developed by “Okay” Line Wind Service, a three way partnership between Kawasaki Kisen Kaisha, Kawasaki Kinkai Kisen Kaisha, Japan Marine United Company and Nihon Shipyard.
The corporate says the MFSV is designed to carry out entire mooring works for floating offshore turbine set up, together with mooring system transport, mooring system seabed deployment and anchor tensioning. It added that the vessel additionally contains a multi-functional options idea for various undertaking phases.
