The Danish Power Company has invited the general public and different events to touch upon the deliberate Hesselø Offshore Wind Farm by submitting remarks on the challenge’s Strategic Environmental Evaluation (SEA) for its revised southern location.
After the session, the company will look at the remarks, and if needed, replace the plan accordingly.
The challenge has an anticipated capability of as much as 1,200 MW, with its generators positioned in Hesselø Bay within the Kattegat, roughly 30 km from Zealand. Electrical energy might be exported via onshore-buried cables in the direction of the prevailing excessive voltage energy station Hovegaard north of Ballerup. Deadline for full commissioning of the wind farm is 2029.
In parallel to the SEA, Danish TSO Energinet is conducting an EIA for the land-based a part of the challenge.
The general public session of the revised SEA of the plan for Hesselø runs till April 5. A public assembly concerning the session materials might be held in Gilleleje on March 19.
