DOE Earmarks $22M for Renewable Facility Planning, Siting Enhancements


The U.S. Division of Power (DOE) has introduced $22 million put aside to enhance the planning, siting and allowing processes for large-scale renewable power amenities.

Six state-based tasks are receiving $10 million by means of the Renewable Power Siting by means of Technical Engagement and Planning (R-STEP) program, geared toward creating and increasing statewide initiatives that present experience, trainings and technical assets to native governments and communities as they plan for and consider large-scale renewable power and storage tasks.
