DRS hybrid drive system profitable in sea trials of Korea’s first FFX-III future frigate

Arlington, Va., headquartered Leonardo DRS, Inc. (NASDAQ: DRS) studies that the Republic of Korea Navy’s first Ulsan-class Future Frigate experimental Batch-3 (FFX-III) has efficiently accomplished sea trials. DRS supplies the hybrid electrical drive propulsion system for the ship. The ten-day sea trial, which befell in August , marked a major milestone within the growth and testing of the Ulsan-class FFX-III. Carried out within the Sea of Japan, the trial showcased the vessel’s distinctive efficiency, economic system, security options, and its skill to fulfill and exceed all efficiency necessities. The ROK Navy plans to start deployment of the ship instantly. DRS will proceed with manufacturing of 5 further shipsets for the FFX-III program.
