At roughly 6:00 pm on February 6, the Fort St. John Fireplace Division responded to studies of black smoke coming from a second-floor window at a residence situated above a business constructing at 8111 100 Avenue.
Crews arrived to discover a working hearth and initiated an aggressive hearth assault, deploying hose traces to carry the fireplace underneath management. A complete of 5 equipment and 15 firefighters responded to the incident.
The fireplace was shortly knocked down and introduced underneath management at roughly 6:15 PM. The occupant of the rental unit was not at residence throughout hearth suppression efforts.
