GE Vernova to Construct Baltica 2 Onshore Electrical Connection 






GE Vernova’s Grid Options enterprise, in partnership with Polimex Mostostal, has been contracted to construct the onshore infrastructure essential to switch energy to the grid from the Baltica 2 offshore challenge in Poland. 

The onshore connection infrastructure will contain setting up a 275 kV high-voltage substation, together with onshore export strains.

GE Vernova will present the expertise, together with fuel insulated switchgear, transformers and static synchronous compensators. Polimex Mostostal can be liable for all civil work, gear set up and laying the onshore export strains wanted for the onshore electrical substation.

The two.5 GW Baltica Offshore Wind Farm, to be developed collectively by Ørsted and PGE Polska Grupa Energetyczna, covers roughly 190 sq. km within the Polish Baltic Sea.

Baltica 2 is anticipated to be absolutely operational by 2027.
