HII Scoops Order For Remus 620 UUV From Worldwide



International protection gear provider HII has obtained an order for a REMUS 620 unmanned underwater car (UUV) from a global buyer within the Indo-Pacific Area.

The custom-made, medium-class REMUS 620 UUV shall be constructed and delivered in 2024 by HII’s Mission Applied sciences division and shall be used for monitoring and knowledge assortment missions.

Unveiled in 2022, the REMUS 620 has a battery lifetime of as much as 110 hours and a variety of 275 nautical miles, offering unmatched mission capabilities for mine countermeasures, hydrographic surveys, intelligence assortment, surveillance and digital warfare.

The REMUS 620 achieved two important growth milestones in 2023 with a profitable in-water check in October and first sea check in December.
