NYK Group‘s Hokuyo Kaiun has obtained two ISO certifications from ClassNK for the protection administration system of its crew transport vessel (CTV) for the offshore business.
This certification will allow Hokuyo Kaiun, which primarily operates towing vessels in Japan, to function and handle CTVs utilizing an SMS compliant with worldwide requirements for the next stage of vessel operation security, says the corporate.
Katsuya Nakano, president of Hokuyo Kaiun; Capt. Hisaya Higuchi, managing government officer at NYK and Tsutomu Yokoyama, government officer at NYK, attended the Dec. 26 ceremony awarding certificates of registration in Tokyo.
