Huisman has been awarded a contract from VARD for the supply of an electrical 250 mt hybrid increase subsea crane and a 200 mt knuckle increase crane, for integration into Toyo Development’s newest cable-lay and development vessel.
Huisman says its hybrid increase crane consists of an electrical traction and storage winch design that can be utilized on giant diameter subsea wire rope.
