The Maryland Power Administration has introduced a contemporary spherical of funding by way of the Group Photo voltaic LMI-PPA Grant Program to increase state residents’ entry to group photo voltaic.
“This new spherical of group photo voltaic funding underscores our dedication to creating Maryland extra inexpensive by enabling all Marylanders, no matter socioeconomic standing, to plug into clear and inexpensive power choices,” says Maryland Power Administration Director Paul G. Pinsky. “Group photo voltaic permits Marylanders who can’t put photo voltaic on their properties to supply cheaper, cleaner power from photo voltaic installations across the state. It’s a key a part of our clear power future.”
These receiving incentives from this system use the funds to assist offset the prices of offering low-cost group photo voltaic subscriptions inside the state by way of PPAs.
This system acquired a historic response to its FY23 providing, says the administration, in the end incentivizing 60 group photo voltaic tasks at a mixed whole photo voltaic capability of 69 MW.
The company is presently accepting functions for the Group Photo voltaic LMI-PPA Grant Program by way of February.
