MCE has unveiled an all-electric clear power residence, meant to be offered to lower-income first-time residence consumers in Richmond, Calif.
Led, in partnership, by the ZNE Alliance and MCE, this Richmond Superior Vitality Group venture makes use of MCE’s VPP. In alternate, collaborating clients enable their sensible power units to answer MCE’s indicators to shift load primarily based on the grid’s wants.
“Our digital energy plant connects distributed power sources like photo voltaic, battery storage, electrical autos, electrical water heaters and warmth pumps into one system that may be shifted when wanted,” says Vicken Kasarjian, MCE COO.

The Richmond Superior Vitality Group is supported by a $5 million grant from the California Vitality Fee and $2.8 million in match funding from companions that embrace the Metropolis of Richmond, CalEPA and MCE.
