Metropolis and Fort St. John Arts Council Broadcasts Winners of Bike Rack Design Contest

The Metropolis of Fort St. John and the Fort St. John Arts Council have introduced the winners of the extremely anticipated Bike Rack Design Competitors. Earlier this summer season, on June 3, 2024, the Metropolis invited everybody who lives, works and research in Fort St. John to showcase their creativity by designing progressive and practical bike racks. Right this moment, the Metropolis is happy to disclose the chosen designers that may quickly improve the group’s panorama.

Members have been inspired to submit a design drawing or a photograph of a scale mannequin created with a supplied model-building equipment. With over 50 designs submitted, a blind jury selected the ten successful designs based mostly on a supplied listing of design pointers. The successful designers are:

  • A. Acko
  • Austin & Konnor (Faculty District #60 Submission)
  • B. Kosugi
  • E. Stanford
  • E. & A. Koselak
  • P. Lidudmyla
  • V. Butler (two designs)
  • Ok. Carlson
  • Valentine & Quinn (Faculty District #60 Submission)

These chosen designs shall be produced and put in all through the town. Every successful designer may even obtain a $250 prize, though some winners have opted to say no the money award.

Mayor Lilia Hansen expressed her pleasure: “Our Arts and Tradition Division was blown away by the unimaginable enthusiasm and creativity that everybody delivered to the Bike Rack Design Competitors. We ship a heartfelt thanks to the 50+ residents who entered the competition. The chosen designs usually are not simply practical – they’re set to remodel the town’s look! We will not wait to unveil these artistic endeavors at an upcoming exhibition.”
