Metropolis launches Fireplace and Security Self-Evaluation Program


The Metropolis of Fort St. John is proud to announce the launch of its new Fireplace and Life Security Self-Evaluation program, which goals to reinforce fireplace security measures throughout native companies. This initiative underscores the Metropolis’s dedication to proactive fireplace prevention and guaranteeing compliance with BC Fireplace Code rules. 

The Fireplace and Life Security Self-Evaluation Program is designed to empower enterprise house owners and property managers to conduct common fireplace inspections. In accordance with the BC Fireplace Code, property house owners or their designated representatives are liable for these assessments. This system offers a structured framework for companies to judge their fireplace security protocols, together with emergency exits, fireplace extinguisher accessibility, and electrical security.
