Feb 15 (Reuters) – The US performed a cyberattack lately towards an Iranian army ship within the Crimson Sea and the Gulf of Aden that had been gathering intelligence on cargo vessels, NBC Information reported on Thursday, citing three U.S. officers.
The cyberattack occurred per week in the past as a part of a authorities response to a drone assault by Iranian-backed militias in Iraq that killed three U.S. service members in Jordan late final month and wounded dozens of others, the report stated.
NBC reported that the operation was meant to inhibit the ship’s skill to share intelligence with Houthi militants in Yemen.
