Following on from its April Marine Security Bulletin (MSIB) on reporting harassment on U.S.-flag vessels (see earlier story) the U.S. Coast Guard has now launched additional steerage on vessel operator compliance with adjustments to the legislation enacted as a part of the FY 2023 Nationwide Protection Authorization Act (NDAA) to reinforce crew security and handle sexual assault and sexual harassment (SASH) points.

Key adjustments embrace mandated surveillance techniques, crew coaching, reporting procedures, and grasp key controls on choose vessels.
