Nichols Brothers Wins Contract To Construct NOMARS Uncrewed



Freeland, Wash. shipbuilder Nichols Brothers Boat Builders (NBBB) introduced it has been awarded a contract to assemble an uncrewed autonomous vessel for the U.S. Division of Protection’s analysis and growth company.

The No Manning Required Ship (NOMARS) venture was awarded by Serco North America, the prime contractor and designer of the vessel, for the Protection Superior Analysis Tasks Company (DARPA).

This system goals to revolutionize naval operations by designing a ship that may function autonomously for prolonged intervals at sea with out an onboard crew.
