Saab has obtained a contract from the U.S. Navy for a Double Eagle Semi-Autonomous Remotely Operated Automobile (SAROV) for the Kuwait Naval Power.
The Double Eagle household of undersea autos is an ROV system utilized by navies globally supporting mine countermeasure (MCM) missions. Within the SA¬ROV configuration the car can be utilized each as an Autonomous Underwater Automobile (AUV) for detection, classification and identification, and as an ROV for mine disposal. The U.S. Navy is procuring this technique as a Overseas Navy Gross sales (FMS) program for the State of Kuwait’s Naval Power.
