Seaway7 has obtained a contract from Equinor and associate Polenergia for the inter-array cables of the MFW Bałtyk II and MFW Bałtyk III bottom-fixed offshore wind tasks, positioned within the Polish Baltic Sea.
Seaway7’s scope of labor covers the engineering, procurement, building and set up of 100 66 kV inter-array cables, measuring roughly 200 km in size.
The 2 tasks can be delivered in steady campaigns, with offshore works anticipated to begin in 2026.
MFW Bałtyk II and MFW Bałtyk III, a 50:50 three way partnership between Equinor and Polenergia, are two of the most important and most superior offshore wind farms being developed in Poland, with a complete put in capability of 1.44 GW.
The wind farms, developed within the Polish unique financial zone of the Baltic Sea, can be positioned between 22 and 37 km from the coast, with water depths starting from round 25 to 40 meters.
