Shearwater Will get 3D Seismic Job Offshore India

Norwegian marine seismic companies agency Shearwater GeoServices has been contracted by the Oil and Pure Gasoline Company (ONGC) for a 3D seismic survey challenge within the Cauvery Basin, situated off the east coast of India.

That is one other contract awarded just lately by ONGC to Shearwater, following the OBN survey deal signed earlier in February.

Set to start within the early months of 2024, the challenge will cowl a 4,600 km2 space within the Bay of Bengal, using the SW Empress to hold out the survey.

This initiative underlines Shearwater’s function in supporting environment friendly and technologically superior exploration actions within the area, in keeping with the corporate.

“We sit up for working with ONGC on one other challenge, which underscores our strong relationship and monitor report in India. It displays our mutual dedication to advancing exploration with precision and care,” Irene Waage Basili, CEO of Shearwater, stated.
