Sol Methods has chosen three photo voltaic tasks, Bunker, Blackberry and Cornwell, beneath the Illinois Energy Company (IPA)’s Listed REC procurement course of.
These tasks, totaling 123.4 MW, will ship 240,000 Renewable Power Certificates (RECs) yearly to Ameren Illinois Firm, Commonwealth Edison and one other native utility.
The IPA’s Listed REC procurement program, stemming from the Illinois Local weather and Equitable Jobs Act, promotes the placement of tasks in Power Transition Neighborhood Grant Areas. These areas are focused for financial growth to assist communities impacted by the closure or lowered operation of fossil gas crops, as recognized by the state’s Division of Commerce and Financial Alternative.
