The world’s largest transport affiliation, Copenhagen-headquartered BIMCO, has appointed its director of contracts & assist, Stinne Taiger Ivø, as deputy secretary common, efficient January 1, 2024. She succeeds Søren Larsen, who will likely be retiring in Could after 39 years of service.
Ivø joined BIMCO in early 2022 to guide the contracts & assist division. The contracts & clauses staff develops and supplies the transport business with contracts and clauses in shut collaboration with business representatives, whereas the assist & recommendation division solutions members’ queries about constitution events and different contracts.
Previous to working at BIMCO, Ivø headed the claims division of marine insurer Skuld (Copenhagen), labored at Danish Transport (previously referred to as the Danish Shipowners’ Affiliation) and as a lawyer at regulation agency Gorrissen Federspiel’s division for transport/offshore/transportation. She holds a Ph.D in worldwide firm regulation and a grasp of legal guidelines diploma, each from the College of Copenhagen.
As a part of the management staff, Ivø will likely be representing one of many main enterprise areas at BIMCO, contracts & clauses, at a time when the transport business faces a rise in new laws from the Worldwide Maritime Group (IMO) and the European Union (EU) on the already regulation-ridden highway to decarbonization.
