Substation Meeting, Match-Out Begins at Inch Cape Offshore Wind Farm






Meeting and fit-out of the offshore substation platform and jacket basis for SLPE’s 1.1 GW Inch Cape offshore wind farm have begun on the Smulders yard in Newcastle, U.Okay., the corporate introduced. 

“We’re delighted to witness our arduous work on this challenge for Inch Cape materializing,” says Joseph Hilton, SLPE’s managing director. “Our OSS jacket design is ready to face up to the cruel circumstances of the North Sea, and we eagerly anticipate its completion and set up. I’m immensely happy with everybody at SLPE for his or her dedication and experience.”

A consortium of Siemens Power and Iemants, a Smulders subsidiary, is accountable for delivering the offshore substation for the Scottish challenge, situated 15 km off the Angus coast.

Inch Cape is owned by Inch Cape Offshore Wind Restricted, a three way partnership by Crimson Rock Energy and ESB.
