Sunflower Electrical Energy is partnering on Boot Hill, a 150 MW photo voltaic venture close to Fort Dodge Station, the corporate’s electrical producing facility one mile southeast of Dodge Metropolis, Kan.
The corporate is a cooperatively operated wholesale technology and transmission utility serving seven member distribution utilities positioned in western Kansas. The Boot Hill Photo voltaic Mission, anticipated to begin operations in 2026, will be a part of Sunflower’s 20 MW Johnson Nook Photo voltaic Mission, which got here on-line in 2020, and Sunflower’s 20 MW Sunflower Electrical Photo voltaic @ Russell Mission, scheduled for industrial operation subsequent January.
Boot Hill will generate roughly 400,000 MWh yearly, says the corporate, and may have greater than 300,000 photo voltaic panels mounted on a single-axis photo voltaic monitoring system. The ability will complement the corporate’s different technology sources, offering its system with incremental capability.
The Victory Electrical Cooperative, positioned in Dodge Metropolis, joins Sunflower’s six different member-owners in supporting the Boot Hill Photo voltaic Mission. Sunflower is partnering with Alluvial Energy to design and assemble the venture.
