Taihan Cable & Answer has gained a $77.3 million contract for the provision of subsea cables for the 365 MW Yeonggwang Nakwol offshore wind farm in South Korea, and bought what is alleged to be the nation’s solely cable-laying vessel (CLV) for the offshore wind market.
Below the $77.3 million contract, South Korean firm Taihan will probably be liable for supplying inter-array subsea cables that join 64 offshore wind generators, every rated at 5.7 MW, put in on the Yeonggwang Nakwol wind farm, and the cables connecting them with a brand new substation on Songi Island.
