Thistle Wind Companions (TWP), a consortium involving DEME, Qair and Aspiravi, has awarded Ramboll the contract for pre-FEED (front-end engineering design) of the foundations for its 1 GW Bowdun offshore undertaking.
The scope of Rambol’s work consists of the WTG substructure design and parallel geotechnical sensitivity assessments for future growth. The corporate will even present offshore substation basis ideas for the Bowdun undertaking together with TWP’s Ayre Offshore Wind Farm.
“These contract bulletins show the nice progress we have now made on the idea designs for each of our initiatives,” says Ian Taylor, TWP undertaking director. “Additional tenders for design and engineering help will probably be introduced on our personal web site and on the North Sea Transition Authority’s Power Pathfinder.”
FEED and detailed design procurement for the undertaking is predicted to start this spring.
