Norwegian shipbuilder Ulstein Verft has signed contracts with J.P. Morgan Asset Administration for offshore wind Building Service Operation Vessel (CSOV) newbuilds.
In 2023, Bernhard Schulte Offshore ordered the design and building of two such vessels from Ulstein underneath a contract which included choices for 2 plus two vessels.
These choices have been transferred to institutional buyers suggested by J.P. Morgan Asset Administration, who declared the primary two.
The CSOVs will probably be geared up with a hybrid battery propulsion system and ready for inexperienced methanol gasoline to allow carbon-neutral operations, in accordance with Ulstein.
