US Coast Guard Cutter Sea Canine Broken

The U.S. Coast Guard Cutter Sea Canine (WPB 87373) sustained harm in the course of the crew’s inbound transit from sea to the St. Marys River, Monday, the Coast Guard (USCG) stated.

The broken cutter moored in Fernandina Seashore, Fla., with help from further Coast Guard property and a industrial towing vessel, the USCG stated.

There have been no reported accidents, harm to different vessels or environmental affect, and navigation stays unaffected, the company added, noting the incident is underneath investigation.

The Sea Canine is an 87-foot marine protector-class cutter assigned to Coast Guard Maritime Pressure Safety Unit Kings Bay within the Coast Guard’s Seventh District. The vessel was constructed by Bollinger Shipyards of Lockport, La., primarily based on Damen’s Stan 2600 design
