I’ve heard many attention-grabbing tales over the course of the final two years on this podcast, but this week’s one is a corker!
What should you replanted forests by seed bombing?
That’s proper, dropping seeds like little bombs, from the undercarriage of drones, with every seed wrapped in a protecting bundle so it doesn’t smash to bits when it hits the bottom.
That’s what an organization known as Morfo is doing throughout elements of depleted South American rainforest. They’ve been utilizing the drones to assist reforestation tasks in areas which have been over used or utterly cleared, with outstanding outcomes. In a single mission in French Guiana they’ve helped a forest go from 0.3 to 42% cowl in only a 12 months!
