Registration is open for a webinar hosted by the AGA on challenges and alternatives for hydrogen manufacturing from low-temperature geothermal sources.

Registration is at present open for a webinar to be hosted by the Australian Geothermal Affiliation on “Hydrogen manufacturing from low-temperature geothermal vitality – alternatives, challenges, and mitigating options.” Attendance is free for all.

The small print of the occasion are as follows:

On this webinar, Maryam Hamlehdar (College of Melbourne) will current a complete evaluate of the potential of geothermal vitality for producing hydrogen, with a concentrate on Australian low-temperature geothermal reservoirs, significantly Scorching Sedimentary Aquifers (HSAs).

Australia’s HSAs are used as examples of how low-temperature geothermal reservoirs can present potential options for hydrogen manufacturing. The work evaluates a number of metrics to appraise the feasibility of geothermal reservoirs in HSAs, and gives insights into the alternatives and the challenges of manufacturing inexperienced hydrogen from geothermal vitality, relevant not solely to the hydro-geological and socio-economic situations in Australia but in addition worldwide.

Ms. Hamlehdar is a Ph.D. candidate from the College of Melbourne, Infrastructural Engineering Division. Her analysis focuses on exploring the potential of geothermal vitality, significantly low-temperature scorching sedimentary aquifers (HSAS) for the manufacturing of unpolluted hydrogen. She has expertise in numerical modelling of deep geothermal reservoirs and thermodynamic modelling of above-ground elements. Moreover, she has been concerned in trade tasks on design of borehole warmth exchanger.
